How It Works
Download two exports
Request your Instagram data export now, and again later (days or weeks apart).
Upload both ZIP files
Upload the older export first, then the newer one.
See who unfollowed you
Instantly see who was in your old followers but missing from the new list.
Privacy-First Analysis
We never ask for your Instagram password. Your data export is processed entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded to any server. You're in full control.
Why Two Exports Are Required
A single data export is a snapshot of your account at one moment in time. It can tell you who follows you and who you follow right now, but it cannot tell you what changed.
To detect unfollowers, we need a baseline (older export) and a latest snapshot (newer export). Accounts present in the old followers list but missing from the new one are your unfollowers.
Accuracy Notes
- Username changes may appear as unfollows + new follows
- Deactivated or suspended accounts won't appear in either list
- Larger gaps between exports mean more potential changes
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I check unfollowers with one file?
No. Unfollower tracking requires two snapshots — a before and after. If you only have one export, use the Not Following Back Checker instead.
How often should I download exports?
As often as you like. Weekly or monthly exports work well for tracking changes.
Can I compare files from very different dates?
Yes, but the longer the gap, the more changes you'll see — and some may be username changes rather than unfollows.
Is this more accurate than login-based apps?
In most cases, yes. Login-based apps rely on the Instagram API which has rate limits. Your data export is a direct snapshot.
Why is the unfollowers list empty?
If nobody unfollowed you between the two export dates, the list will be empty. That's a good thing!
Can I track multiple accounts?
Yes. Upload different exports for each account. Results are shown per comparison.
