These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the WhoDipped website and tools (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1) Who we are

2) What the Service does

WhoDipped helps you analyze your Instagram relationships (e.g., not-following-back, unfollowers over time, mutuals, pending requests) using data you provide.

Important: WhoDipped is not affiliated with, endorsed, or sponsored by Instagram™ or Meta Platforms, Inc. ("Instagram/Meta").

3) Privacy-first / local processing

The Service is designed to process your Instagram data export in your browser and not upload your export to our servers.

If you choose to save results (e.g., History / snapshots), they are stored locally on your device (for example, in browser storage).

Note: Even though we don’t upload your Instagram export, your device will still connect to the internet to load the website and any third-party services you use (such as advertising).

4) Eligibility

You must be able to form a binding contract in your country and be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required where you live). If you are under the age of majority, you must have permission from a parent/guardian.

5) Your responsibilities

You agree that:

  • You will use the Service only with data you are authorized to use (e.g., your own Instagram export).
  • You will not use the Service to violate anyone’s privacy, impersonate others, or attempt to access third-party private data.
  • You will not interfere with the Service or attempt to bypass limitations or security controls.

6) Prohibited use

You may not:

  • Use the Service for harassment, doxxing, stalking, or illegal activities.
  • Upload/share malware, or attempt to disrupt the Service.
  • Engage in ad fraud or invalid traffic (including encouraging clicks on ads, automated clicking, or misleading layouts/actions designed to generate ad clicks).

7) Accuracy, limitations, and "as-is" disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee that:

  • results will be accurate in all cases (Instagram exports can be incomplete, delayed, or change format),
  • the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free,
  • specific outcomes (e.g., growth, retention, business performance) will occur.

You use the Service at your own risk.

8) Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, text, code, and trademarks/logos (excluding third-party marks), are owned by WhoDipped or its licensors and are protected by applicable laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service unless we give you written permission.

9) Third-party services and links

The Service may include links to third-party websites or services. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or practices.

If we display advertising (e.g., Google AdSense), those providers may collect data via cookies or similar technologies as described in our Privacy Policy.

10) Changes to the Service

We may update, modify, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, including features labeled "coming soon."

11) Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if necessary to protect the Service, users, or third parties.

12) Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, WhoDipped will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim related to the Service will not exceed USD $50 (or the minimum amount required by law), whichever is greater.

13) Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold WhoDipped harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

  • your use of the Service,
  • your violation of these Terms,
  • your violation of any rights of another person/entity.

14) Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Alaska, USA, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

15) Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will post an updated "Last updated" date.
